“We don’t always have a choice how we get to know one another. Sometimes, people fall into our lives cleanly—as if out of the sky, or as if there were a direct flight from Heaven to Earth—the same sudden way we lose people, who once seemed they would always be part of our lives.”—John Irving in Last Night in Twisted River (via quote-book)
When she says “everything is gonna be alright” things are alright.
When she says “nobody can do this or that like you” that is true!
When she says “you are the most beautiful and intelligent girl ever” she is right, all the time.
When she says “you can do it” I always can!
When she says “I’ll pray for that” miracles happen.
But the most wonderful superpower she has is that when she gives me a hug… She can make me feel like a little girl in her arms and make me remember even if I’m a grown up woman, I will always be her little baby girl.
